Moosa Patel has worked with a range of organisations to review and enhance their governance since 2013. Between 2013 and 2017, he headed up the Governance Consultancy Service within Capsticks Solicitors LLP before establishing the Office of Modern Governance in 2017.
Previous to that, during a career spanning over two decades he worked across all levels of the NHS, including the Department of Health and the last eight of which were as Director of Corporate Affairs in a large teaching acute trust, commissioner and most recently at the former Midlands and East Strategic Health Authority Cluster. Moosa has also held independent roles on two different social housing provider boards.
Moosa has an excellent understanding of corporate governance and its practical application and the challenges and obstacles that need to be overcome on that journey.

Sarah Boulton is an experienced non-executive director, Chair, facilitator and university lecturer. Sarah works extensively and in partnership with the Office for Modern Governance across all areas of our work and in shaping our strategic direction.
For several years, Sarah was a university business and management lecturer who latterly specialised in executive and postgraduate education. Following this, she spent five years as a management consultant, focusing largely on strategy and organisational culture projects.
Sarah has been a course tutor on the highly rated and accredited Financial Times Non-Executive Director Diploma for seven years, where she brings a particular focus to the importance of diversity and effective behaviour for highly performing boards.
Sarah’s Board experience to date has included serving as non-executive director, Audit Committee Chair and Chair of five different NHS trusts over the last nineteen years.
